HD Inkjet

HD ink jet printing is the latest technology to emerge in the surfaces industry.
More specifically in the manufacturing of
porcelain tile.

Several years
ago, the printing company Durst, while experimenting with different surfaces, discovered that they could successfully print over porcelain tile surfaces utilizing a combination of four colors – (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) abbreviated as CMYK.

The colored inks are automatically combined in various ways to create virtually any color in a single step. This ability to produce millions of colors allows for intricate and beautiful designs to be embedded onto the surface of the tile.

The tile’s desired image to be printed is computer generated and sent to the printer, and then incorporated into the tile production line for creating the coloration onto the surface of the tile. Nearly any image that can be generated on the computer can be sent to the printer resulting in amazing options.
